Common Decoration Methods to Get Your Name On™
- Screen Printing and Silk Screen
Have you ever used a stencil to color or paint a design onto a sheet of paper? Screen printing follows the same basic technique. In very simple terms, screen printing is a printing technique that uses a screen stencil, a roller, and ink to transfer your artwork onto many types of promotional products.
- Pad Printing
Have you ever used a stamp and ink stamp pad? Pad printing follows the same basic technique. Your artwork is made into a rubber or silicone stamp that can transfer ink onto a variety of promotional products with flat, cylindrical, spherical, or other irregular surfaces.
- Etching and Engraving
Have you ever carved your name into a tree? Etching or engraving follows the same basic technique. While this decoration method does not involve ink or artwork colors, etching or engraving use a chemical, laser, or other precise tool to cut your artwork design into promotional products made from metal, wood, glass, and other materials.
- Embossing and Debossing
Have you ever left your iron on clothing long enough to burn it? Embossing and debossing use the same technique. Your artwork is created into an 'iron' or metal die and is imprinted onto promotional products using heat and controlled pressure.
- Embroidery
Have you ever sewn a patch onto a jacket? Embroidery is a decoration method that involves creating your artwork using stitches of thread and sewing your artwork directly onto promotional products and apparel.
There are several other decoration methods that can be used to get your name on™ promotional products. Your growth consultant can provide you with more information and can give you the benefits and disadvantages of how each type of imprinting technique can affect the quality of your promotional items.
